This retreat will be presented in real time. It is not a “do on your own time” retreat. Saturday has a full schedule and is set to end at approximately 10:00 PM, so we try to begin promptly. Sunday will start at 8:00 AM. Expect the weekend to end by 5:00 PM on Sunday. Please plan to attend a late afternoon/evening Sunday mass on your own. We hope you were able to register and access the applications needed to participate in this online platform.

The retreat will be filled with talks, dialogue time, prayer, and activities.  Lunch will be about 12pm for 30 minutes and dinner will be about 7pm for 60 minutes. Please plan your meals accordingly and we recommend having water or beverages and snacks close at hand.

We understand that some of our engaged couples are in the same location and others are separated. We recommend preparing a designated working space in a home office, living room, or at a kitchen table.  For couples in the same location, please choose a writing room and a dialogue room.  For couples separated, we suggest dialoguing over the phone, Skype, Facetime, or Facebook Messenger.

We ask that you turn your cell phone ringers off and refrain from texting, checking e-mail, etc. during the presentations and writing/discussion times.

A lot is packed into this weekend and we will need every single one of our participants to be on time every time as we will not continue without everyone present.  We want this weekend to go as smoothly and efficiently as possible; we appreciate your help with staying on time.

Lastly, we ask for your patience and understanding in advance as presenting in this format is a new endeavor for us as well.  We want to offer a format suitable in preventing the spread of COVID-19; while still maintaining the integrity and primary mission of your Engaged Encounter Weekend.
